LMC Designs | Professional Headshots | St. Louis, MO

I recently had the pleasure of taking a few professional shots for my friend Lea Cummins, of LMC Designs. Currently based out of St. Louis, LMC Designs offers interior design and event decor services. I have seen her work in interiors as well as events and can personally attest to the fact that she does a great job. Her business is currently based in St. Louis, but will be re-locating to Olney, Illinois on December 15, 2011. Follow her blog at www.lmc-designs.com to keep up with Lea’s work as her business grows! You can find her contact information on her blog.

Here are a couple of Lea’s headshots…one of my lights was out of commission, so she was a trooper and put up with my wacky ideas to try to compensate for the missing light:)

Kristyn & Mark: Wedding: Baton Rouge, Louisiana | Amanda Williams Photography – St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Congrats to Kristyn and Mark on their Baton Rouge wedding! Here are a few photos from their big day:)

Headin’ down to the bayou | Wedding | Baton Rouge, Louisiana

This is one of my favorite shots of my short career:)

Kristyn and Mark were troopers and actually got into the freezing fountain at the Indiana Museum of Art during their engagement shoot last fall. (as a side note, new restrictions at the IMA state that no one is to enter any body of water) Surely we weren’t to blame for that…nah…

Kristyn is originally from Louisiana and Mark is from southern Indiana. The two met while attending Vanderbilt University and in their own words “have been inseparable ever since”.

This weekend they will be married in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where Mark promises me that I am in for a treat since I like seafood. The high for Saturday is predicted to be 97 degrees with a humidity level of 60%. umm..any suggestions for how to prevent “swamp-butt”? If you don’t know what that means google it. lol.

I am so excited to see these two get married!!! Congrats Kristyn and Mark!

Congrats to these high-school sweethearts! Jessica and Phillip are engaged to be married in November 2011 in Indianapolis. For their engagement shoot, we headed to Holliday Park along with their 2 pooches, then downtown where we were met with our fair share of wind!! Holy cow!

We are looking forward to your wedding!!

Welcome Amanda Duncan! | Apprentice

I am excited to announce that Amanda Williams Photography is training a new apprentice, Amanda Duncan. Yep, 2 Amandas!  I am looking forward to working with Amanda. She is talented, motivated, and funny…I suspect we will have plenty of shenanigans under our belts soon enough;) She will be assisting with on-location shoots as well as in the studio.

Amanda was gracious enough to answer a few “getting to know you” questions and share some of her previous work

Share a little about yourself: I’m married to my best friend, Luke, and am Mom to Heath & Dillon, 6 year old twins who are funny and ornery, and Colton, 1½ years old and a Momma’s boy monster. In my spare time, Ilike to scrapbook and do different DIY projects around the house…basically, I am in love with paper, glue and my sewing machine.

How long have you been taking pictures? I’ve always been the girl with the camera but I started trying to take “better” pictures about 4 years ago as my twins were getting really fast and I was getting too many blurry pictures!

What type of photography do you enjoy most and why? Taking pictures of families is, by far, my favorite. I strive to capture everyday moments that will document how they interact, love and bond with each other in the hopes that they will be able to remember those moments for years to come.

Describe your style… What inspires you? My style is creative, dynamic and personal. The beauty of everyday life inspires me. Scrapbooking inspires me too because I am always thinking of pictures I can take that will match with whatever paper line I am currently in love with!

What was your memorable photography moment? My most memorable photography moments are the first pictures that I took of each of my children.

Describe your dream shoot…Any destination wedding would be dreamy for me!!

What is your current favorite photo that you’ve taken and why? My current favorite is a picture of my husband looking at comic books at a street vendor in New York City. It captures our uneventful, yet unforgettable day and I really like the depth of field.
